Quinny Girl

With each month that passes Quinn just gets sweeter. She's such a happy, content little girl who loves most to watch Emerson whirl through the house. She watches him and laughs and smiles until she gets little sunshine eyes. He definitely takes his new entertainer job seriously. Once he realizes what makes her smile, he commits it to memory and pulls it out later when she's crying or upset. It's the kinda thing that could melt a momma's heart and on occasion, when I'm feeling gushy, it does.

Emerson is still intent on patting, rubbing, squeezing and noogying (is this a word) Quinn's head. What I realized is that Sean and I do it, although much more gently, very often. It's hard to not touch a head of hair like that. You just see it sticking up all over the place and you want to feel it and rub it. I have decided that Emerson's roughness with Quinn is really just the intensity of his love coming through. The other day I overheard him illustrating this point when he said, "I'm so happy you're here little girl. I want to squish you."
